Is a minimum stay necessary to be able to make a booking?
Campsite:
For pitches A and B in season B and C: 7 nights, in season D: 10 nights - for Tent Pitch C and Camper Pitch in season D: 7 nights.
Season A: no minimum stay
Village:
Mobile Homes - Equipped Caravans
Seasons C and D minimum 7 nights; arrivals and departures possible on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Seasons A-B no minimum booking required.
Is it possible to book a specific pitch or mobile home?
It is possible to indicate your preference and add 2 more Houses or Pitches as an alternative, we will do our best to accommodate your preference but we cannot guarantee it 100%.
Is it possible to book two or more Pitches or nearby Mobile Homes?
Of course, you can request it and we will do our best to accommodate you. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee it because it depends on many different factors, including: type of vehicles owned, types of Mobile Homes required, and compatibility with other existing bookings.
What happens if I arrive later than the scheduled arrival date?
The booked Mobile Homes or Pitches are kept at the guest's disposal until midnight of the day after the scheduled arrival.
At what time must one leave the campsite?
Mobile homes and equipped caravans before 10:00 am
Pitches by 11:00 am
What time can you arrive?
The guaranteed times of access are:
Pitch from 11:00 am
Mobile homes and caravans from 4 pm
What happens if I cancel my booking?
The guest can cancel the booking at any time, by giving written notice in to Tavolara Camping Village. Cancellation will result in the return by Tavolara Camping Village of the down-payment made as a booking to deposit in the following amounts: 70% of the total amount, if the cancellation is made between the date of booking and the 60th day prior to the start date of the stay; 50% of the total amount, if the cancellation is made between the 59th and 30th day prior to the start date of the stay;
- there is no refund of the amount paid, if the cancellation is made later than 30 days before the beginning of the stay.
BEACH
Is the campsite by the sea? How far is the beach away and what kind of beach is it?
The campsite is about 600 m from the beach of Porto Taverna; it is a beach of white sand that slopes down slowly. Ideal for children.
Do you have a deckchair/umbrella rental service on the beach?
The beach is partly free and partly equipped and there are several establishments where you can rent.
How does the shuttle service to the beach work?
From June to August it runs continuously for 4 time slots, two in the morning and two in the afternoon, while in May and September a reduced service is guaranteed with 4 shifts in the morning and 4 in the afternoon with single descent and ascent.
MOBILE HOMES AND EQUIPPED CARAVANS
Is the plan of the Mobile Homes to scale?
No, it is generic and serves to show the overall composition of Mobile Homes.
Are there crockery in mobile homes and equipped caravans?
Yes. The accommodations have a kitchenette (they are equipped with crockery, pots and pans, cutlery, plates, glasses, espresso maker).
For cleaning, are there a broom, dustpan, detergent?
Broom and dustpan yes, detergents no.
Is final cleaning compulsory?
Yes, they are a compulsory cost and do not include the cleaning of the hob and dishes, the latter if requested involves an extra charge of € 15.00.
What is included in the minimum equipment of mobile homes?
Included in the equipment: blankets and pillows, crockery, pots and pans, chopping board, cutlery, plates, glasses, cups, espresso maker, bucket, mop, floor cloth, broom, dustpan. What is excluded in the minimum equipment of mobile homes?
Tablecloth and kitchen towel for drying dishes (for hygienic reasons), detergents.
Are the accommodations equipped with air conditioning?
Mobile homes yes with supplement; equipped caravans no.
How big are the mattresses in mobile homes?
The length is 190 cm and the width is 140/150 cm for the double bed and 65/70 cm for the single bed.
How many Ampere do mobile homes and caravans have? Is it possible to use hair dryers and hair straighteners?
The Mobile Homes are equipped with 10 Ampere and the caravans 6 Ampere. Hairdryers and hobs can be used but it depends on the watts of the appliance (generally it is fine at 700/800 watts) and always by turning off the air conditioning and possibly the boiler.
PITCHES
What is the difference between Pitch type A, Pitch type B, Tent Pitch type C and Camper Pitch?
Pitch type A: are large, shaded and delimited pitches, suitable for Camper, Caravan and large tents.
Pitch type B: are also delimited and shaded but smaller in size and suitable for medium/small tents.
Tent Pitch type C: may be delimited or not, shading is not guaranteed in these.
Camper Pitch: normally of large size, they may be delimited or not. Shading is not guaranteed.
Can I rent a fridge at the campsite?
Yes, we have refrigerators of 100 l for rent, without freezer.
It must be requested at the time of booking because we have a limited number of them and must be booked for a minimum of 3 days.
The refrigerator is placed on the assigned pitch.
Which type of connection does it take to connect to the power column? How far is the connection from the pitch?
Only and exclusively EEC standard plugs, without adapters. The plugs are often near the pitches; a suitable 20-metre cable is recommended.
Can I buy or rent EEC standard plugs to connect to the electric column?
It is not possible to rent them but only to buy them in the immediate vicinity.
How many amperes do the current columns have?
All pitches are equipped with electricity connections of 3, 4 or 6 Ampere.
Do you have to pay for showers?
No. The hot/cold showers inside the campsite are free, there is no need to insert a token. Common sense is strongly recommended when using them.
Is it possible to use the Camper Service?
Inside the campsite, there is an area to use the Camper Service. It is a free service for our guests. For external visitors the service costs up to € 25.00.
Can electric cookers be used?
No, except for those specifically designed for low-power camping.
DOMESTIC ANIMALS
Do you accept pets on the campsite?
Small and medium sized dogs are allowed in the camping area, i.e. on the pitches for tents, caravans and campers.
Do you accept pets in your accommodation facilities: Mobile Homes and Equipped Caravans?
Only during season A, of small size and after authorisation from the Reception, in this case with obligatory final cleaning of € 20.00 for equipped caravans, € 40.00 for Mobile Homes.
Can I bring the pet to the restaurant?
Yes, it is possible to bring the pet to the areas indicated by the restaurant staff
Can I take the pet to the beach?
No. Porto Taverna beach does not have a dog beach area. Usually there is a tolerance with small dogs up to the first ten days of June and from the middle of September.
Is there a dog beach nearby?
Yes, about 8 km to the north. It is called Le Vecchie Saline. Indicated by signs
Where are pets not allowed on the campsite?
Inside the reception, inside the market, five-a-side football pitch and tennis court, playground
Is there a dog washing area?
Yes. You have to request the key at the Reception desk.
GENERAL SERVICES AND VARIOUS INFORMATION
Are there food services?
Yes. Bar, Restaurant, Pizzeria, Mini Market. During the periods around the opening and closing of the opening season, the availability is not guaranteed.
Is it possible to book half board and full board at your restaurant?
Yes, only half board. During the very low season, the service may not be provided. We advise that you should inform yourself about this.
Do you have an Animation service?
An Animation service is scheduled from mid-June to the beginning of September.
What sporting activities can be played?
Inside the campsite we have a multi-purpose football/tennis field, beach volleyball, ping pong. In the immediate vicinity you can use the diving centre, snorkelling, wind-surfing, canoes and inflatable boat hire.
Do you have internet connection? For a fee?
Yes. There is a WI-FI area that covers most of the property and is free of charge.
Is a laundry service available?
Yes, with coin-operated washing machines.
How can I pay?
You can pay using cash, cheque, bancomat, credit card (MasterCard or Visa). The balance must be paid at the beginning of your stay.
Is there a quiet time?
Yes. During the hours of 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm and 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, any noise that may disturb the guests' sleep is prohibited. The circulation of all motor vehicles is also prohibited. However, we request to respect the public peace and quiet especially between the neighbouring mobile homes and the pitch.
Is the water in the campsite drinkable?
Yes. The water in the fountains, mobile homes, equipped caravans and sanitary facilities is drinkable.
Is there a swimming pool?
No, we do not have a swimming pool.
Do you have a barbecue area?
We do not have a barbecue area. It is allowed to barbecue with your own equipment, however, only if there is no wind. It is however necessary to inform the Reception.
Is it possible to rent a car/motorbike/bike?
Yes. We cooperate with external suppliers who deliver directly to the campsite.
Do you arrange excursions?
At the reception, you can book excursions to the marine area of Tavolara, La Maddalena and the Gulf of Orosei. Every season there may also be new excursions.
Do you have safety deposit boxes?
No.
Is it possible to park the car near the Mobile Home or Equipped Caravan or Pitch?
No. Only during season A is access with your own car on arrival and departure allowed, while during other periods, our electric cars are used and the cars are parked in the car park.
How close are the nearest port and airport?
The nearest port is Olbia, 15 km away, while Golfo Aranci is about 35 km, Olbia Costa Smeralda airport is 12 km away.
Is it possible to reach you with public transportation?
The bus stop - Line Olbia Nuoro 514 from Arst - has a bus stop right in front of our entrance passing through the port and the airport.
Is it possible to fill gas cylinders?
No. Rental on pitch is possible. For those who have a Gaz camping site we rely on an external supplier.
Do you have private bathrooms?
Pitches: no; Equipped caravans: for a group of caravans it is possible to have a semi-private bathroom during seasons B, C and D and it must be requested when booking; Mobile Homes: yes all with en-suite bathroom.
Can I wash my car/motorbike/vehicle on the campsite?
No. In the entire Camping-Village area, it is strictly forbidden to wash motor vehicles such as cars, motorbikes, scooters and boats.
