VISITS AND EXCURSIONS
Camping Village Tavolara is nestled in a landscape of rare beauty. Within a few kilometres, you can reach numerous white beaches of various sizes interspersed with granite rocks.
Easily reachable on foot are the beaches of Porto Taverna, situated only 600 metres from the campsite, Cala Gjrgolu, just 30 minutes’ walk away and the Tortoise and Sassi Piatti beach, which is about 40 minutes’ walk away.
These are some of the beautiful beaches that can be easily reached by car or boat:

North of the campsite
- Beaches of Tavolara Island – reachable by boat with rubber dinghy from Porto Taverna or by boat from Porto S. Paolo, boarding 3 km away
- Costa Dorata - 1.5 km: group of small, little frequented coves
- Cala Finanza - 2 km: small promontory with many small coves often scarcely populated
- Beaches of Porto San Paolo – 3 km
- Porto Istana – 8 km: white beach
- Capo Ceraso - 8 km: large promontory with a varied and capillary system of coves. It includes the beach of Li Cuncheddi. Opportunity for strolls and Nordic Walking.
South of the campsite
- Cala Brandinchi (called Tahiti) and Lu Impostu – 6 km: white beaches
- Cala Capo Coda Cavallo – 10 km: white beach
- Puntaldia – 9 km: white beach
- La Cinta – 10 km: white beach, the largest in the northeast with 3.2 km of sandy beach
NATURAL ATTRACTIONS
- Tavolara Island – the calcareous giant in granite Gallura - two short paths, one of which is a nature trail with descriptive panels.
- Pond of San Teodoro - 9 km: information centre and birdwatching trails. Opportunity for boat trips.
- Capo Figari – 42 km: overlooking Golfo Aranci, from this summit Guglielmo Marconi was the first to officially broadcast a radio signal.
- Waterfalls of Mount Nieddu – 31 km: opportunity of canyoning with guide.
- Rock formations of interest: San Pantaleo granite towers - 36 km; Monte Pulchiana- 70 km, the largest granite monolith in Sardinia; Roccia dell'Orso - 57 km, iconic zoomorphic granite rock.
- Olivi Millenari of Luras - 60 km: it is estimated that the oldest of these is 3800 years old, it takes 11 people with open arms to enclose the circumference of the trunk.
- Dunes of Capo Comino - 48 km: he highest dunes of eastern Sardinia, along with a beautiful beach
- Hills of Limbara – about 60 km: protected area managed by the Forestale, the highest granite peaks in Sardinia. Access: Limbara North from Tempio and Limbara South from Berchidda. Several trekking paths on both sides.
- Monte Albo – 62 km: the first calcareous formations south of Gallura. Opportunities for trekking and climbing.
- Capo Testa – 82 km: beautiful zoomorphic granite formations sculpted by water and wind. Trekking not to be missed.

- Tavolara Island: reachable by dinghy from Porto Taverna or by boat from Porto S. Paolo, boarding 3 km away. Opportunity of Trekking to the top of Punta Cannone. Stunning view of the archipelago.
- Archipelago of La Maddalena: Boarding in Palau - 57 km
- Gulf of Orosei: Boarding in Caletta -37 km
CULTURAL VISITS
- Olbia -15 km: visit of the historical centre with the Archaeological Museum and the Romanesque church of San Simplicio
- Olbia – Castello Pedres: medieval fortress; Tomb of the Giants on Monte and S'Abe: collective tombs of the prehistoric era
- Pozzo Sacro Sa Testa – 22 km: important evidence of the cult of water in prehistoric Sardinia
- Posada – 33 km: small medieval town with the Castello della Fava at the top and a beautiful panorama
- Nuraghe La Prisgiona and Tomb of the giants Coddu Ecchiu – 46 km: important testimonies about building and cults in prehistoric Sardinia
